Daniel Juncadella slowed down during his lap, which caused him to have to box with Mercedes AMG GT3.
"After a pit stop in Dani Juncadella reported an ABS malfunction on the exit, which led us to believe it was an electrical malfunction, and we tried to reset. In the first round, he could have continued without losing too much time. We prepared for the exchange or repair boxes, but in the second round he found that there was noise and also vibrations that had to get him back into the boxes. There we discovered that it was broken drive shaft, and because of this damage, there was also great damage and areas around the drive shaft, which requires longer repair. So we put our heads together, very disappointed riders, but we still decided to fix the car and send it to the last 2-3 laps to introduce it to fans and the public who are cheering with us for 20 hours and trying to push us to win," comments Stefan Wendl, leading the Mercedes AMG Motorsport Customer Racing.
