ABT # 84 voted out of 24H Nürburgring - after a month we have official results of the race
The second car in goal 24H Nürburgring, ABT # 84, was disqualified. By the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo has been found to be a technical offence. The car had too much power, there was talk of 20 extra horses than BoP allowed.
During the technical inspection after the race, the Lamborghini with number 84 (driven by Luca Engstler / Mirko Bortolotti / Patrice Niederhauser) was found to be excessive. This was outside the tolerance range prescribed in the Balance of Performance (BoP).
In total, six GT3 class SP9 vehicles were checked as part of the routine post-race inspection. Checks on the remaining five Aston Martin, BMW, Ford, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche cars, including dynamometer tests for power measurements, revealed no problems. Since Abt decided not to appeal, the results are final.
