GTWC: Sprint Cup heading to Magny-Cours - will participate in the record 45 GT3 cars
The record count of 45 Sprint Cup cars is this weekend (July 31 - August 2) to Magny-Cours within the sixth GT World Challenge powered by AWS.
The French weekend promises action from start to finish because the French championships FFSA GT, TC and F4 share the main event with GT World Challenge. The next two accompanying series, the Porsche Carrera Cup France and MitJet Trophy France, will increase the total number of races to 17, while the opening race of the Sprint Cup takes place under the lights of the spotlight from 21: 05 on Saturday night.
Magny-Cours will also offer a well-known catalogue of activities for fans, from walking in boxes and book signing to simulators, camping and a new night garden party. Overall, it promises a spectacular start to the summer holiday season.
The trip to Magny-Cours comes just two weeks after the previous Sprint Cup in Misan, where the WRT team with BMW # 32 won both races. Charles Weerts and Kelvin van der Linde are now big favorites in defending the title in the equestrian ladder and will try to consolidate this status in Magny-Cours.
The main competitors will probably be two Mercedes-AMG - Verstappen Racing and Winward Racing - and also the winner of CrowdStrike 24 hours Spa Lionspeed GP with their Porsche and Ferrari AF Corse.
