Although the Genesis Magma Racing programme meets the expectations of a South Korean manufacturer, the brand uses the Le Mans 24 hours to move forward and represents the Genesis Magma GT3 project.

It is important to note that it is not yet a GT3 car that will appear in the challenges anytime soon. Let us say that this notification can be described as an intention to go to GT3 over the medium term. No timetable for placing the GT3 on the market has been established.

"The concept of Genesis Magma GT3 represents a potential future direction for Genesis Magma Racing, together with our commitment to FIA WEC hypersport, in which we develop the support of the entire Genesis brand," said Cyril Abiteboul, head of Genesis Magma Racing. "From the very beginning we have claimed that Genesis Magma Racing is a long-term project and this is the possible direction we can take. Like Hypercar, GT3 is one of the recent successful stories in motorsport.

A road car is already needed for this, as the presented car meets the technical regulations of the GT3. It is common practice for manufacturers to first introduce the road GT and then the racing model. The concept of Genesis Magma GT, which has also been discovered, follows this approach. "The presence of Genesis and Genesis Magma Racing in this segment would allow us to closely link road and racing aspects of the brand and further enhance our visibility in global motor sport," explains Abiteboul.

The Genesis Magma GT3 project, designed as an independent study, according to the manufacturer examines "architecture, aerodynamics and design principles derived from racing that could inspire future high performance Genesis cars rather than being derived from an existing road model."
