Bortolotti was expelled from Oschersleben! Engel is the winner
Lamborghini thought she and her Temerario GT3 had secured her first DTM win.
After the second race of DTM in Oschersbelen, which won Mirko Bortolotti in the Lamborghini Temerario GT3 / TGI Team by GRT, the Commissioners took the parts from the four GT3 cars to be checked. It turns out that the Lamborghini wheel bearings were neither homologous for DTM nor reference parts.
Lamborghini Temerario GT3 with number 63 was therefore disqualified from the second race for infringement of Article 5.1 of the Sports Regulations.
The Austrian team, the owner of which is Gottfried Grasser, stated that it would appeal against this decision and the results of the second race are therefore preliminary.
So far, the winner is Maro Engel (Mercedes-AMG Team Ravenol) before Thomas Preining (Manthey) and Marc Wittmann (Schubert Motorsport).
